The Air Up There is one of Kevin Bacon's finest works.
My friend and I have a shared passion for watching pretty bad movies. Usually anything with Dennis Quaid, John Travolta, or Kevin Costner. For years, we have been searching Blockbusters in the area for The Air Up There. Nothing. It turns out that it never went to DVD (because it was that good!). So, I bought a VHS copy of it off of ebay. We watched it last night. What a treat!
Kevin Bacon's character Jimmy Dolan finds not only a star recruit in Africa - but also himself. I highly suggest watching it and/or sharing any memories y'all have of the movie.
