Washing One's Tired Face
24 October 2009, 9:26am

How good does it feel to just splash your face with water?

We all know the feeling. You're hungover, tired, and/or generally groggy. Then, you put the faucet on, gather some water in the palms of your hands. You splash that water on your face and suddenly there's a sudden burst of energy, freshness, cleanliness. I just did it and felt great. There must be some sort of scientific explanation for it, something to do with the cold of the water opening up blood vessels or something. I love it.

couldn't agree more. i just climbed mountains for 8 hours and my face is covered in salt. i can't wait.

also on par is brushing your teeth when you're camping and wake up with the sun. for some reason, brushing my teeth is one of my favorite parts of camping.
