I haven't seen Kazaam either, but I was given Kazaam trading cards by Shaq himself. My family was in Florida the year the movie came out, and we stumbled upon Shaq at Planet Hollywood. He gave me trading cards and an XL Planet Hollywood t-shirt. Very exciting.
In response to klclomp's question about "The Squid and the Wale" that she posted as "random" - I've seen it, and so has CabinBoy (he got me to watch it)... I like it a lot, though it's got the same sort of style as several other movies that he and I like, so that's not surprising. What did you think?
Also in response klclomp's question about "The S and the W"- Like The Fool, I enjoyed this movie (and as a short aside, I miss you Fool...come back to me).
I'm iffy about Squid and the Whale. So painful. Answer a stupid question, here: what is the viewer supposed to take away from that movie? All I could think of was how easy it is to mess up your kids. Re: another dysfunctional family in a movie, Little Miss Sunshine..Hilarious and ultimately touching I thought. Maybe i'm just a weenie.
i think what i liked most about that movie is that it did leave me with that feeling of what am i supposed to take from this. it was so careful at making you unsure of whom to side with and so forth. i thought it was great and very carefully thought out
yes. i give it a 7.5. i thought it was great, and surely exactly the way that michell (sp?) gaundry wanted it, but i still felt nothing for the characters
really? you guys thought it was good? for entertainment i'd give it a 9, but for quality of movie i'd go no higher than a 3.5. in fact, i thought that often times in the movie scorcese treated the audience like we were five. mark wahlberg is amazing though. i have to hand it to him
