you know, i heard of these mice. they have very short lives. once the mouse finds a mate, the two stare at each other for about a day, almost as a way to see if the other's stamina is acceptable. then, they "make babies" for about 3 days, while the female continues to eat, etc, and then the male dies of starvation, exhaustion, and dehydration. males really can be pretty stupid with a single track mind
