good morrow, my peterdot family! it's been a little while since i've been able to visit peterdot, so i thought i'd make a little post about what i've been up to. it's not exciting. feel free to skip on to the post-its about heineken and school and so forth. i just spent a weekend with my american colleague/friend in beijing. i don't like beijing, but it was a fun weekend. i got to see jc for the first time in too long, which was stellar, to say the least. shelley (the american) is here to train, and wanted to make the best of her trip, so she invited me up for a weekend in the northern capitol. we went to the wall, the forbidden city, all that good stuff. i hope to have some photos up soon. beijing people aren't very friendly. and they add an "r" to every word, so it's difficult for me to understand them. they're kind of like french people who say 'r's a lot. angry and better than everyone. gah. either way, it was a lot of fun. it feels great to be back in hangzhou, the land of my girlfriend, friendly people, good street food, GPRS, and a bus system i'm familiar with. so yay for coming back home (to my china home... don't worry, i'll always be a chicagoan)!
