well, i have officially seen every single episode of buffy the vampire slayer. i started watching from the first episode a few months ago, and just watched spike save the world. i feel like i should have something profound to say. about how this reminded me so much of tuesday nights in college, how i've made so many friends because of this strange international cult of buffies. but instead, i'll say this. spike is quite possibly the greatest guy ever. and he saved the world! highlights, not in order (that i remember): when spike said, in song, "life is just this, it's living. you have to go on living. so at least one of us is living..."when andrew narrated that one episode and started with a glass of brandy and a pipe which he choked onanyathe days when dawn was not painfully annoyingwhen spike, in season 3, was heartbroken by drusilla, and kidnaps willowozthat episode when no one could speak. that was brilliant. absolutely brilliantwhen the scoobies fall asleep watching horror movies and have funny dreams. i think xander's was my favorite.going back in time to see when spike became a vamp, and was shattered by his motherbuffy botall the cool gizmos that geek squad came up withdracula was pretty cool. not sure it was a highlight, but i liked that episodespike got his freaking soul back because he loves buffy. what a guy!the other nightmare episode from the first seasonhow rupert always takes off his glasses. he never puts them on, but somehow takes them off every cutwhen anya first became a vengeance demon. you know, when olaf (right?) cheated on her with the child-bearing-hip bar womanwhen buffy and spike finally succumbed to their desires (and the house collapsed)cordelia and xander, and how it was the worst relationship that was somehow so perfecti don't like angel. so he will not make this list.the fact that house and buffy share pretty much the same guest starsin the older seasons in the beginning when the camera panned down on buffy and she looked up while holding an axe. keri, you know what i'm talking about.spike. any others? i know i'm missing quite a few...
