holy moly it's hot.so my aunt (dad's sister, 阿姨) sue is in town. we hung out last night and all day today. it's been really nice catching up, talking to an educated american about politics, etc. i've had a blast.except it's soooo hot! it got up to 40 degrees last night (that's just over 100F). and that's just by the thermometer. try to imagine standing on a blacktop with busy traffic (i think of it like leaving a sox game at 2 in the afternoon, and getting stuck in the parking lot). it's worse.i decided that if it were up to me, i'd probably never leave my house when it was this hot. but then i realized that if it was up to me, the world would have a great subway to get anywhere, and it would be air conditioned. hmm. kind of like hong kong's...
