hooray for all of you! rather, hooray for 96.88% of you!i was just doing a little check of google analytics, a useful tool that helps you find out what your web site visitors tend to look at, using what browser/OS, etc. and only 3.12% of visitors to peterdot in the last month came from internet explorer! i'm so proud of all of you!...in case you're interested... because Saulemander and i visit the most, and he's a windows user, and i'm at work a lot of the time and am forced to use windows, the highest ranking browser/OS is firefox/windows at 38%, with camino on the mac in second with 29%, and safari at 16%. an excellent 56% of you are mac users, and about 2% visit using iPhones or iPod touches. hooray!

THE Lowly Peon
[08 December 2008]note. i think i may disregard all the bug-testing for avalantern, meaning it would look crazy weird if you visited using IE. i figure it'll take me quite a while to debug for IE, so maybe i'll just save the time and frustration.
hmm. i should have included this in the original post.
THE Lowly Peon
[10 December 2008]so i suppose a big reason (the only reason?) IE has been so popular is because no one realizes that they have a choice. now that people are starting to get that they can use better ones, they are.
but a guy at work just sent me an email saying his internet had problems. he didn't even know the words "browser" or "internet explorer". instead, he copied and pasted a screenshot of the IE logo.
yikes.
