I just overheard an old guy in a starbucks talking about plans for the Chinese new year. he said his daughter has never seen the sea (he's from Australia). interesting, I thought, that she's seen china and not the sea. pretty awesome, I think. then he said that he's gonna go to the sea with her and her husband.I think it's amazing how much I've been able to do in my (thus far) short lifetime. I've seen a lot, learned a lot, experienced a lot. to be of married age and to never have seen the sea? reminds me of when my mom and I went up pike's peak and met some 30-odd year old people from florida who had never seen snow. what a life I lead!
