so as an IT rat, i spend a lot of time on different [windows] computers. in fact, at this very moment, i'm logged into four remotely.

one of them had a display resolution problem. nothing significant, but it was 400x600 (really low resolution) and only a few hundred colors. it was horrifying. i didn't really have time to fix it, though, because there were other problems of higher priority.

i worked on this machine, with this horrifyingly low resolution, for maybe 15 minutes. and then i changed the settings, and it was amazing.i have no point here, really, but if i did, it would be that computers are really amazing. and seeing what we've achieved (remember when even the nicest computers were only 400x600?) is really mind blowing.

my conclusion: i need to get a 30" apple cinema display.
