THE Lowly Peon

HOT (IV)
17 June 2009, 12:44pm

i guess it's not really that hot. but it's way hotter than i want it to be.

according to weather.com, it's about 90 degrees and 75%+ humidity. i am miserable. i'm afraid to leave my apartment, even if the air conditioning is giving me a cold.

i just went for a run because i'm getting fat again (translate: "i'm out of my routine, but the booze keeps rolling, so my girlfriend tells me i'm fat all the time"). it's raining a bit because it's so darn* humid, so i went to the gym in my apartment complex. i'm pretty sure it was hotter in the gym than outside.

i checked the thermostat and it was off. no fans. just about fifteen people crowded into a small sweaty room with the door to the door wide open (note that the door doesn't go outside. it just goes to another door. so we don't get a breeze. just the heat and the humidity.)

pathetic, i know, but i only ran for 20 minutes before i couldn't do it anymore. i ran up my stairs (11 floors — even the stairway is more comfortable than the gym), and then worked out a bit in my comfy room.

i can't do this hot anymore. i wish i were in san francisco, where i'm stuck debating, before i leave the house, if i want to bring my blue hoodie or my jacket.

i'm getting my haircut saturday because i need to ditch anything that may retain heat.

Ew. I'm moving to the bay area in a couple weeks, and I am so unexcited about debating what cold-weather clothing to wear outdoors. LA is so nice and warm....
