i guess they call it southern comfort. and i really can't make it go away.
i went over to a colleague's house for dinner tonight, and we were going to walk the dogs and chat for a while after. the dinner was supposed to be a snack before a somewhat heavy "workout". i even brought my new running shoes and my iphone armband to track the GPS.
then i showed up, and saw enough mexican food to feed a small army. and then, she showed me dessert. she knows i like flourless chocolate cake with extra raspberry sauce. so, to my surprise, she bought me a whole cake and about a pint of raspberry sauce. delicious.
it was so tasty that i ate about what a small army would eat. i was about to keel over when we got up from the table to go for our walk.
it's 10:41 and i'm still uncomfortably full. and i've got 12 or so more pieces of this cake.
i've got to get in shape so daisy stops calling me 胖胖 (fat fat), and so i'm strong enough for my february trip to tanzania to climb kilimanjaro! no more booze, no more cake, and more running!

[12 August 2009]If you're going to Kilimanjaro in February, does that mean I can't come to Hong Kong?

[12 August 2009]WJerome: unfortunately, it may mean that. February is apparently the best time to go, and I have a week off. but there are lots of opportunites for hk, right?

[12 August 2009]thelowlypeon: I don't know if there are. I'm busy for spring break. I guess it depends on your timeframe for China. We'll figure it out.
