gmail push for iPhone!

at long last, the wait has paid off. google finally offers push email for the iphone, as well as contact and calendar syncing. if you don't have an iPhone, you probably won't care about this.

hooray!

google finally offers push email for the iphone. i've tried it out, and it works like a dream. i needed to use VPN in china, which means somehow china is making even that difficult.

because i use MobileMe, i haven't tried syncing my contacts and calendars, but in a few months, i may reconsider using MobileMe and just move over to gmail. frankly, i think i'll stick with MobileMe because i've had lots of problems in the past with google syncing stuff.

but push email! i don't need to come up with all those crazy workarounds anymore! and wow it's so much faster!
