i'm back home in hangzhou again. first time in a few weeks, and i'll be here for almost TWO WEEKS before i leave again! haha anyway, i'm happy to be back.
i went out to buy some groceries and the market nearby, and decided to take the long way home through the park in my apartment complex. i was feeling pretty good, excited to break into this bottle of wine and have some peanut butter and jelly while kicking back with eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
i was listening to some ol' bobby d, marveling at how he somehow understands what i'm going through at any time in my life. the sun's not yellow it's chicken? great gordon, he's got it. how'd he know? i heard, on shuffle, just like a woman followed immediately by it aint me babe, and laughed at how wise this guy was, even at such a young age.
since coming to china, i've stopped caring much about what other people think of me, since i'm kind of a freak here anyway. as a result, i was belting out dylan as loud as my lungs could carry. and believe me, klcomp makes fun of the way bob sings just like a woman for a reason.
anyway, i noticed out of the corner of my eye that someone was creeping up behind me. i sort of turned my head to show him i knew he was there, but that was it. i stopped shouting, though. i'm not that confident. a few minutes later, he was still at that awkward blind spot. i turned around to do some evil-eye-ing. and sure enough, it was my colleague, the general manager of the china office.
oops.
