best snow day ever

i'm in beijing today on a business trip. i've been here for about a week, and will leave on tuesday night via train. the great daisy is here with me, which has been a great fun. we saw sarah friday, the forbidden city yesterday, and we had plans to see the wall today. i've seen the wall a handful of times, so the plan, to me, sounded like a lot of work for little reward. plus, i've been getting pretty tired of hanging out in the same group 18 hours a day.

i looked at my phone yesterday and saw the weather report: 9 degress (C) and rain. sweet jesus. hell yeah.

so we made the plan to wake up and communicate around 9 o'clock, and if the weather was good, we'd head out immediately.

daisy and i stayed up way too late watching curb your enthusaism, so i did not want to wake up. i went to the window, and:

SNOW!

that's right! it's snowing! so i'm selfishly excite as hell because we don't need to go to the wall. instead, we're going to get coffee, and i'm meeting sarah, and we'll be able to go swimming in the hotel pool, and i can see the new michael jackson documentary at sanlitun, and we can just kick it all day long. so, best snow day ever.
