THE Lowly Peon

Remember Remember!
04 November 2009, 7:46am

Remember, remember the fifth of November,

The gunpowder treason and plot,

I know of no reason

Why the gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot.

Remember, remember!

To all rebellious, darn*-the-man (save-the-empire), Michael Jackson loving revolutionaries:

Tomorrow, the fifth of November, daisy and I will be hosting a Guy Fawkes party at my apartment. At this party, we will celebrate revolution, failed or successful, and honor the memory of Guy Fawkes, the Roman Catholic who attempted to blow up parliament in order to discontinue Protestant rule over England in 1605.

In order to celebrate in the most revolutionary fashion, we will be drinking delicious booze from countries not entirely supported by the one hosting the party, listening to revolutionary songs (think revolution 9 as a mind-blowing example), discussing how much every government sucks and should be over thrown, and, of course, we will be dancing to A-ha’s take on me and Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album, because they are my favorite.

All are welcome!

Unfortunately, I cannot provide transportation arrangements for anyone outside of this timezone, though I will gladly provide munchies and adequate booze for any of you who are able to make it.

Hey, I don't think I can make it to your party. On the other hand, I will be having legit bonfires in the country where it actually happened. Except I think you should know that they have bonfires here to celebrate Guy Fawkes being unsuccessful, not for his views.
