...And YOUR Bird Can Sing
28 November 2009, 11:31pm

Yesterday afternoon, daisy and I were hanging out at my apartment for a bit when we noticed that a bird — or something — was making some sort of annoying whistling noise. After a few minutes of making the same call every second or two, we felt sure that it was a bird and laughed at how annoying it was.

Little did I realize that this thing is apparently here to stay. It's been tweeting every second or two since yesterday. Fortunately, I came home last night from my friend's wedding with enough baijiu in me to tranqulize a horse and merely thought it was funny. But then I woke up this morning to this... this... noise! and it's driving me insane.

More evidence suggesting that a ficus tree is the best kind of pet.

For your listening pleasure (and in case Jeremy hears this and can identify the bird, so as to determine the best and fastest way to eliminate it), I've uploaded a small audio file of the bird's call. The recordings were taken from my iPhone, and from my noisy balcony, so you need to listen carefully.

Bird: Take 1 and Take 2

Ficus: [file not found]

To whoever managed to get rid of that bird: Please come by my house for your reward. You will forever be my hero.

so I guess the little poop* lives right below me. I can gear his people playing with him and having a blast. meanwhile I'm ten feet away going insane.
