I'm in the Mumbai airport right now, killing the several hours before my 1:50am departure. I'm flying Jet Airways, because there are no other airlines that can take me direct to Hong Kong and to Vadodara.
I went to the Star Alliance Premier club, as I am a premier member of Star Alliance. But they wouldn't let me in because I'm flying Jet Airways, despite my special membership card and my 500k+ miles with Star Alliance.
So I went to the Jet Airways club to try it out. But I used my Visa card to buy the ticket, not MasterCard, so they rejected me as well.
So now I'm sitting on the floor with a raspberry Snapple, charging my iPhone for the long flight ahead of me.
(and you won't see this until tomorrow because the wifi requires a Star Alliance provided password.)

[10 December 2009]This is so lame. I can't believe the Star Alliance wouldn't let a member with over half a million miles into their club. I don't care about "policy" — they really can't bend the rules to keep an obviously valuable customer happy?
