Poll: Vacation Destination

We need your help!

Spring festival is coming up, and daisy and I will be heading to the states for a few days. Her visa expires in March, so the timing is perfect.

We've narrowed the choices down to two: Chicago or San Francisco.

Each have pros and cons:

Chicago

  • Cold as hell right now
  • blabby11 is there, so she and daisy could meet.
  • my grandmas are both there too
  • Chicago is the coolest town ever. Even Frank Sinatra said so
  • My parents, klcomp and paul, will not be there. Which sucks.
  • We could stay at 914 for at least a few days and save some money

San Francisco

  • I love that city.
  • saulemander, nellie, and hulkamaniac are all there
  • Wine is good and cheaper
  • Weather is better
  • We'd need to pay for hotels every night
  • Easier to get around without cars, and I hate cars
  • daisy could see Chinatown and compare an American China with the real one

So, what do you all think? saulemander, nellie, blabby11, hulkamaniac : feel free to lobby for our choice.

That's a tough call! It sounds like you're more excited about San Francisco, so I think you should go there!

Chicago. But why won't mom and dad be there? Are they in the Cayman Islands or something? On the other hand, maybe Chicago is best seen in the summer, when you guys can swim in that big lake and eat ice cream at Homer's.

wjerome: they'll be in the caymans. i figure we'll have other chances to travel around, so i'd rather daisy sees chicago in slightly better weather. when we can swim!

hulkamaniac: thanks for the offer! but i think we're gonna be cruising all over the place if we go to sf. napa, redwoods, maybe even monterey to see nellie. but i hope you can find some time for us!
