There's a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks. Here are just a few.
January 27 — Steve Jobs will ride in on his unicorn in his black turtleneck and blue jeans and blow our minds. Like he did with the iPhone a few years back, he's going to show us something that is going to change the way we do things. And for those of you naysayers who think it can't work, just remember how you naysayed the iPhone before it was announced.
January 27 or 28 — I'm going to Vietnam. Late notice, I know. I'm going as soon as I can get my visa. If all goes well, I'll still be there by the time daisy goes there on January 31.
January 31 — daisy has her first experience in a country whose native language she doesn't know. I'm so excited to hear what she thinks.
February 1 — I go from Vietnam to Xi'an, the home of the terra cotta warriors. I'll be there for work, and imagine it'll be somewhat boring-meets-stressful, but I'll be with my buddy Integral, and it should be a fun trip.
February 2 — Season 6 of Lost begins. I've been watching a few old episodes to get back into the grove and remember why I spent so much time watching the first five seasons, and I'm getting pretty excited.
February 3 — Head to Dalian. Same as in Xi'an, except no terra cotta soldiers. I hear the seafood if pretty good up there in the north. It's also super close to Maggie, but, sadly, I don't have any time to swing by.
February 13 — Chinese New Year with daisy's family! Should be lots of fun. It has been every other year I've been here!
February 14 — daisy and I head to San Francisco with a stop in Pudong. Get to see nellie, saulemander, hulkamaniac. Can't wait. Stay tuned, and you'll hear a lot more about that.
February 15 — I get platinum status at the Hyatt, which means I get a free night at any Hyatt! (except, I assume, Park Hyatts)
A lot to look forward to! As my old college buddy Daniel would say, lovin' life! (And to think I actually considered leaving this lifestyle behind!)
I just bought my tickets for Vietnam! Head out Wednesday!
