A Small Update to Avalantern: Ellipses are Back?

I've known for some time that no one cares about Avalantern's ellipses. saulemander thinks it's because no one know what the hell an ellipsis is. Perhaps that's true. I think it's because of all the garbage that was posted to Avalantern via automatic updates to Twitter.

Well, I went and made an executive decision. I stopped retrieving any tweets from Twitter and automatically posting them to the ellipses. However, I did not remove the ability to post to Twitter from Avalantern.

I think now that the ellipses should be a bit more meaningful, and the recent activity is also much faster to load (with the ellipses). You can still post an ellipsis to Avalantern and have it show up automatically to Twitter, which is especially great if you live in a communist country that blocks access to twitter but not avalantern!

So yay! Now we can post really short ideas in the ellipses section!

WJerome: never got into buzz either? I kind of like buzz. I also like how a post to avalantern will go to Twitter which will then go to buzz. neat.
