Remember those days when you would freak out and lose a day or two of sleep because you wrote a whole essay, didn't save it, and then your computer froze? And remember how the world hasn't really gotten much better?
I just spent over an hour drawing up something using Freeform, a vector drawing app for the ipad that costs a whopping $10. I went to edit a single point, and for whatever reason, boom. Gone.
Except this may even be a step back from what we did back in college. In Freeform, there is no save button. It's supposed to automatically save your changes. That is, apparently, unless it crashes after over an hour of work. So does this mean I need to exit the app periodically to make sure it saves normally?
I'm feeling down on technology now.

[22 September 2010]In my experience, Microsoft has a good track record for auto-saving.
