an interesting, and completely accurate, description of how we often delude ourselves into thinking we're productive by checkig and responding to our email all the time.

I check my email, I admit, because I like when people write me emails. I rarely check my work email, and when I do, it's because I'm bored and want someone to tell me what to do.

people here at work check it religiously. it's weird sometimes.
