this is pretty interesting. despite what bentomas seems to think, i've always thought the idea of polyphasic sleep, where you alter your sleeping schedule and sleep several times throughout the day so as to lessen the total time slept, is pretty incredible. and if i could figure out some way to only spend a few hours a day sleeping instead of eight, and still feel alive and alert and focused, i would. oh boy, i would.
bentomas has written about it a lot: he tried a few years ago, or you can check out his posts tagged with sleep for more details.
i just found the "blogazine" of this other guy, dustin curtis here, and have been very much enjoying it. rather than just a blog, he makes every article look like a magazine.
this article is about his attempt at polyphasic sleep, complete with pretty little graphics, and am emphasis on the fact that not sticking exactly to the sleep schedule will mess it up for weeks.
if only i didn't work for the man. i would totally try this. i wish almost every day (unless at work) that the earth rotated once every 36 or so hours, work was more like 4 hours, sleep was for 2 (i like dreaming), and the rest of the time could be spent on projects. but alas, we have but 24 hours.
