For those of you who don't follow xkcd, the online comic for geeks, I highly recommend it. On his blog, he recently ran a survey. A simple survey which showed a bunch of colors and the participants were to name the colors using any amount of text (for example, "blue" or perhaps "blue with a hint of your mother").
He put the results together in a simple hand drawn graph, but reading about some of the stats was pretty interesting. weathersealed.com has some interesting analysis (and more links). Worth checking out.
And apparently men can't spell "beige" too well.
(via google reader view, my new favorite way to skim headlines)
After following some links associated with this, I've found lots of really pretty variations of analysis for the data.
